• Cover Care

Covers are delicate and need to be treated with great care. With your cleaning service Spa King will keep your cover clean and apply 303 vinyl protectant as needed. Here is a list of what Spa King recommends Spa owners can do to extend the life of their Spa.

    1) Never stack items on cover. We often find rips, tears and dents in the foam of Spa covers. Once this happens water can get into the cover.

    2) If you wish to clean off snow, never use a shovel or anything that can rip the cover top.

    3) Always re-clip your cover after use.  Many covers have been ripped or torn when unexpected winds arrive and lift the cover off the spa.  Upon landing they can be damaged beyond repair.

    4) Never try to scrub off berries, leaves, stains etc.  Only use water and a cloth.  If lite washing doesn’t remove the stain, leave it.  Using a green/yellow sponge or similar ‘scrub’ pad will, over time remove the protective seal from the vinyl.  This will result in water passing into the foam.

    5) If possible, do not use cover lifters that suspend the cover above the spa.  The problem is the cover seams and hinge get ripped or pulled apart.  This results in a shorter cover life.  We recommend cover storage lifters like the covershelf or even a custom table to slide the cover onto.
