Over the last year we have experienced issues regarding Customers taking on Spa cleaning and repair tasks. We can no longer give instruction for Customers to repair or clean their Spas.
Regarding DIY cleaning we did not have a policy. If you need an extra drain and clean, we cannot do it for free if you wish to take on portions of the work. We had a Customer drain their Spa, then call us to let us know we can refill it and add chems at our convenience. Problem was it was during 20-degree overnight temps. We had to tell them to refill it right away and power back up or they Spa will freeze break. Customer went nuts. This resulted in our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th negative Yelp reviews. All from the same incident.
Regarding DIY repairs we now have a new policy. We had several Customers who wanted to fix their Spas themselves which is ok with Spa King. What is not ok is asking us to open your Spa and tell you how to fix it. This also applies to requests to evaluate the problem for your out-of-state warranty support. We can still do warranty company evaluations for a labor charge. We still do free estimates for those wanting us to repair their Spa. Please feel free to ask us for more detail regarding the DIY issues or anything else. We are very thankful for the many great Customers we have!
